In this day and age when we now have a good option of modern analog synthesizers, it would be against the grain to look for something like the PSS series, but as electronic musicians we often are punks and go against the grain. I would have to say that if any synth goes against the grain it would be the Yamaha PSS series synthesizers. The cool thing about the series is that it's cheap! Yes finally something cheap!
Even though the Yamaha PSS-570 is cheap synthesizer, it is limited. Often with limitations you end up with more motivation to make something from very little or maybe I'm just speaking for myself, but I often find limitations are a necessity to keep my sanity. If you are surrounded by twenty synthesizers with endless options, sometimes you need that thing in the room that says "Hey you! Look over here! We're going to make some music with just this!" In life we often give ourselves limitations for the sake of a bigger end goal and quite often it works out to be benificial.
